The best affiliate program, the best niche for affiliates

It’s another question I hear often.
What’s the best niche for me, or what’s the best program out there today?
I am an affiliate website expert. I’ve been doing this a really long time and I’ve built countless affiliate websites. But I gotta tell ya folks, there’s no pat answer to this one.
Part of the problem is that the internet is full of crap. What I mean by that is there are a ton of crummy one page websites out there, a mile long, offering you the moon and the stars if you blow 99 smackers on their ‘get rich with my secret’ affiliate program scheme. These guys have changed the way people think about affiliate programs and their promotion. What hasn’t changed is affiliate programs, and how to promote them properly.
My friends, the ‘magic pill’ for internet riches does not exist. There isn’t a program out there that you can drop a few bucks on and wait for the money to roll in. These guys didn’t make millions off of some well kept secret they are about to share with you, they make their money off of the fact that you believe in it’s existence. They make money from an honest desire to believe. They count on laziness and greed.
But let me lay it down for you. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is. Not, ‘it probably is’, sorry folks. That’s just grandma and grandpa sugarcoating it for you. What they wanted to say is that the world isn’t an easy place. That you have to work for success. If success was simple, everyone would be successful.
The best affiliate program is the program you can sell. It’s the one that matches the niche you can and do promote. It takes work to be successful with an affiliate program, so you have to enjoy the work for it to pay off for you. Pick a niche you’re interested in and you’ll go ten times further. Pick something just because someone said it paid well and you’re likely doomed from the start.
If you hire someone to develop your affiliate websites or consult with you on the best avenue for you, make sure that you are the one choosing your affiliate portfolio’s direction. Let your consultant consult, but ultimately, make the call yourself and choose a niche and a matching sponsor that you can work with. One you WANT to work with.
