This forum is not a free for all link farm, it's a resource. Let's keep it that way. Blatant disregard for this rule will cause you to be banned.

4. There will be no posts asking about income for individual sites or individual members. Here at AWD we try to steer clear of putting anybody down or making anyone feel bad. And that's why we don't want too many 'I'm making xxx much money from my site" It really can discourage someone that is new and barely beginning to promote their site. They may only be making 30 dollars a month, and working their butt off. While the guy that's been around a few more months is bragging about his 600 dollar check, it makes the first guy feel like he's doing something wrong. Which he's not, it all takes time. And honestly, it's just bad etiquette to walk into a room and ask everyone to compare salaries. You wouldn't do it at a dinner party, so why would you do it here?

5. Use a nickname. A real nickname. Not a domain name. It's just another cheesy form of spam in my opinion.

No, let me reiterate what Chuck just said and add one more. No illegal software links either. Whenever you link to a website in a "bad neighborhood", your website can be punished by google and other search engines.

I've no idea. Maybe it's that some Adsense publishers are more equal than others?

I've often wondered what that rule was all about, anyway? Is it mainly to prevent people talking about how little they earn in certain niches, in case publishers defect from the programme in favour of better-paying ones? Because after all, they do need as many publishers as possible joining, so they have a good inventory of sites to offer advertisers. In that case, you can understand them turning a blind eye when people talk about huge profits.
